The Hampton Estate olive grove was planted in 2001 with 1200 olive trees on 7.5 acres. Now 14 years old, the trees have reached maturity. We have 5 varieties, including 3 Italian varieties (Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino), the Spanish variety Picual and an Australian developed variety Hardys Mammoth. Two extra virgin olive oils are produced – Picual and an Italian Blend.
The Hardys Mammoth is a dual oil/ table olive variety which acts as a pollinator in the grove. The Mediterrean climate experienced in Gidgegannup, with a long hot summer and a cool wet winter is ideal for the growing of quality olive fruit and grapes.
Our oils were first exhibited at the Perth Royal Show in 2008 and have won either gold, silver or bronze medals on every occasion.
